The island has an indented coast and safe natural bays, making it a popular destination for sailors. The coves of Lovi\u0161\u0107a, Mostir, \u010carnjeni bok, Borova are just some of the quiet and secluded coves. The island is not very inhabited, approximately 30 people live on the island during the summer months, and about 15 in the winter. There is no electricity or running water on the island, and during the summer months there are four restaurants open.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the past, there were coastal settlements on the island in places such as Lovi\u0161\u0107e, Srida and Rake (Lovi\u0161\u0107e bay), Mostir\/Moster in Mostir bay, and Nastane, i.e. the village Stan in the inner part of the island. Today, the village Nastane has only two maintained houses, and the rest are ruins. \u0160\u0107edro has been inhabited throughout history, and its natural harbors have been of great importance and were used as safe havens on the sea trade route along the east coast of the Adriatic.
